Tochi Eze is a Nigerian fiction writer and scholar originally trained as a lawyer in Lagos and Enugu. Her work has appeared in The Southampton Review and Catapult, where her short story "The Americanization of Kambili" was named one of “Ten Outstanding Stories to Read in 2023” by Longreads. She has an MFA in Creative Writing and currently teaches English literature while completing her doctoral research on postcolonial literary aesthetics and world-making in global cities.

She is represented by Allison Malecha of Trellis Literary Management. This Kind of Trouble is her first novel.
